These tulips were on my show in June. I made this image at Dieu Donne Papermill in Brooklyn, New York last year, an amazing place I go to whenever I can. The image is made of a black pigment stencil and pulp painting on wet cotton paper pulp. When the paper dries, the image has become part of the fabric of the paper.

About Eliza Kentridge
I was born in Johannesburg, South Africa in 1962. I moved to the UK in 1988, and have been here since then. I am a multi-media artist, moving between drawing, print-making and embroidering, often combining methods. I am also a published poet, and occasionally participate in public discussions (e.g. at literary festivals) about the intersection of mind, art and poetry. The next such event will be at Dieu Donne, NY, in October, on a panel with American artists Richard Tuttle and Leslie Dill.
